OPAQUE
- These colors will eventually cover what they are applied on top of. The
more white pigment a color has, the more opaque it will be. TRANSPARENT - These colors will be influenced by
whatever color is applied under or on top of them. Transparent colors will
usually run the easiest through the airbrush. FROST - A frost is a color that has had a
"Sparkle" put in it. They will run a little different than opaque or transparent
colors because of this sparkle. NEON - Neon pigments are in a class by
themselves. They look best when applied over white and are likely best described
as transparent also. They are a unique pigment that runs a bit odd, compared to
others. METALLIC - Actual
metal fleck suspended in the solution is what makes Metallic colors sparkle.
Because of this you must run with your airbrush open a bit wider to get them to
flow easily without causing clogs. Generally you will not be detailing with a
metallic, but rather covering the entire nail. SPARKLE - These are Gorgeous! Sparkles are
basically a metallic, with a finer grind, so they run a bit easier through your
airbrush, but still require an airbrush that is open a little more than when
using opaque or transparent colors. There are ten colors of sparkles and they
give any color or design a bit of flair!
